The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a renowned in the entire region as a centre for excellence in the management of a wide spectrum of Obstetrics and Gynaecology cases. Facilities and Amenities
The Department is equipped with an excellent labour ward with experienced nursing and paramedical staff who offer tender and loving care to expectant mothers. Duty doctors and specialists are available round the clock to handle any emergencies.
Facilities for painless labour are available which help in reducing the anxiety associated with childbirth. State of the art CTG equipment helps in monitoring the condition of the foetus during labour. The Department aims to judiciously carry out normal delivery in low risk cases and the normal delivery rates are amongst the highest in the region. However, if and when a caesarean is mandated, an excellent OT with a dedicated team caters to every surgical emergency.
All newborns are attended by a neonatologist, ensuring that the baby receives good care from the very beginning. An ultra-modern Level III NICU is available in the Obstetric complex and it is equipped by most modern photo-therapy, infant warmers, C-pap monitors,etc. This enables us to manage high risk cases very effectively.
Following delivery, the mother is looked after in well-equipped wards and the nursing staff is well versed in counselling and managing these situations.
The OT is very well equipped with the latest anaesthetic and surgical equipment.

Including complicated deliveries such as pregnancy with high blood pressure or Diabetes or heart disease and other medical issues.
The department works in conjunction with an experienced team of Surgical Gastroenterologists and Urologists to handle complex cases in a multi-disciplinary approach.
